On more than one occasion recently while out running with my friends, I commented that I feel I am have a very rich life.
One morning after hearing this statement, my friend J asked me what I mean when I say that. She meant explicitly, not just more about being "so blessed", a beautiful phrase that is thrown about a bit too often.
So, I really started thinking about it, listing in my mind all of the ways I feel I am Having a Rich Life. It was too much to keep in my brain. I moved the list into my journal. The outline was still too general.
At this point, my inner teacher/journalist spoke up and told me to "Be specific, Kellie."
"This is going to be a large project; if I'm going this far into these explorations I'll share my musings in a blog," I thought back.
Thus, I sit in front of the fire with my computer, illustrating, to the best of my ability, the myriad ways I am Having a Rich Life.
My life is Rich because I know it is customizable. I have the ability, responsibility, to make my life what I want it to be. It is only my life that I have a semblance of control over, however. I can only work within what is mine to control.
I want a Rich Life so I look for and create a Rich Life. Kellie
