Having a financially rich life is indeed partially about money for me. In large part what helps my life feel rich is a lack of monetary stress. I have sketched out some of my thoughts on this. I will fill in details anon.
- Spend less than I earn.
- Buy only what I can afford.
- Wait on purchases. If I still want to pay for it in a few days then it's OK.
- I think of purchases in terms of hours of my life. If this item costs $100 I will have to work four hours to pay for it. Is it worth four hours of my life?
- I keep my expenses low.
- Beware of lifestyle creep.
